School's History

Crawford Middle School, which opened in 1968, is named for two Lexington educators -- Dr. and Mrs. A.B. Crawford. Dr. Crawford served as principal at Bryan Station and Lafayette High Schools, while Mrs. Crawford taught at Linlee High School and later worked as an attendance officer.
