Fayette County Public Schools is committed to student-athlete success and competitive excellence by creating an inclusive environment that develops and retains quality people, provides a great fan experience, inspires community engagement, and serves as a source of pride for Lexington. FCPS athletic directors shall implement all guidelines of the Fayette County Board of Education, SBDM Council, Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), and federal laws to ensure fairness, safety, and equity for all students participating at any level of athletics in FCPS.
The district has announced new guidelines for middle school students attending athletic events for the 2022 - 2023 school year. They are as follows:
-Be with a supervising adult
-Have their badge/student id
-No backpacks
-No outside food or drink
-No pets
-No re-entry
Ticket prices for district athletic events are as follows:
Middle School Events – Adults $4, Students $2
High School Events – All tickets $5
All students who wish to participate on an athletic team are required to have a completed sports physical on file. Sports physicals are valid for one calendar year, and may be used for multiple sports. This is in addition to the 6th grade school physical.
In addition to your doctor, there are locations to have your sports physical done. You can call and make an appointment at the Little Clinics in Kroger's .

Healthfirst Bluegrass has Healthy Kids Clinics located within eight elementary schools in Fayette County and offer free sports physicals! The clinics are open to ALL FCPS students and are housed in the following elementary schools. Arlington (859-381-3750), Booker T. Washington (859-381-4993), Breckinridge (859-381-4843), Cardinal Valley (859-381-3346), Harrison (859-381-4022), Mary Todd (859-381-3012), Tates Creek (859-381-3774), William Wells Brown (859-381-3172). Call the clinic to schedule an appointment for a FREE sports physical!

You can download the Genuis Scan app to your phone. You can use this free and easy to use app to scan in your student's physcial (or any other important documents) to save to your phone and always have them at your fingertips. You can also email them to your child's coaches/teachers when needed.
